As a matter of fact, many of my patients prefer undergoing the procedure under local anesthesia. We provide numbing before anything happens so that you can’t feel any discomfort. Some prefer some sort of oral sedation. Occasionally, my patients request IV sedation or general anesthesia. It is a very safe procedure with minimal risk and low downtime.
