Armpit Rolls

AtlantaArmpit rolls or armpit fat are those abnormal rolls of fat that are seen through fitted clothing or spills over the bra. Many of our patients have tried everything, including diet and exercise. Our plastic surgeons are very experienced in eliminating armpit rolls using local anesthesia or combining them with other procedures.

Treatment options for Armpit Rolls or Armpit fat

Our plastic surgeon have performed many Armpit rolls treatment procedures. The most common procedures are performed with Kybella, SmartLipo or laser liposuction, ThermiTight, and ThermiSmooth. Our plastic surgeon uses liposuction techniques to adjusts irregularities and improves contouring to create symmetry with the breast.

Kybella can be used to remove armpit fat. Although Kybella is currently FDA approved to treat double chin fat, other off-label applications for Kybella at include treatment of cellulite or small, isolated fatty deformities of the trunk or extremities, such as armpit fat area. Kybella does not tighten skin after fat removal. If you have excessive skin, we do recommend other skin tightening options such as ThermiSmooth, ThermiTight or SmartLipo.

ThermiTight is the latest minimally invasive technology to tighten sagging skin on the face, neck, and body with little downtime. ThermiTight is a single treatment solution without surgery, and  is a type of radio-frequency energy. We have used Thermitight to successfully treat armpit rolls or armpit fat. The procedure is performed with local anesthesia.

SmartLipo™ is a minimally invasive micro laser lipolysis used for facial and body contouring in the Atlanta area. It uses laser energy to literally melt way unwanted fat almost anywhere in the body. The most common areas are the tummy area, love handles, thighs (saddle bags), armpit, and arms. SmartLipo™ is FDA approved for removal of localized unwanted fat that has not responded to good diet and exercise.
