Military & Academic Background
After completing medical school at Meharry Medical College and a rigorous surgical residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Dr. Okoro joined the U.S. Navy. Rising to the rank of Commander, he served as Chief of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, where he treated combat casualties from Iraq and Afghanistan and pioneered microvascular breast reconstruction. He also served as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
He later completed specialized training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, under world-renowned surgeons.
Philanthropy & Global Impact
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Okoro is a community leader, philanthropist, and humanitarian. He organizes and sponsors monthly medical missions to underserved areas of the world through Georgia Plastic Foundation. He has served as President of the ANPA Foundation, Chairperson of the Georgia Chapter of ANPA, and National Treasurer of ANPA. Currently serves on the ANPA Board of Directors.

In addition to his academic accomplishments, Dr Okoro is a community leader, philanthropist, and an international Plastic Surgeon. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Georgia Plastic Foundation.
