Who Qualifies for Bicep Implants?

Many men envision having large, muscular arms, but that dream is not always easy to achieve. Muscular definition requires an intense exercise schedule that most people are unable to stick to. Some men are also just unable to build a lot of muscle mass due to a variety of preexisting medical conditions. Luckily, you can still get defined muscles in your arms if weight lifting is ineffective. With bicep implants, you can attain the bulky arms you desire without the rigor of an exercise regimen. We at Georgia Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery are proud to offer this option to our patients and encourage you to learn more about it.

Qualifying for Bicep Implants

Any healthy individual looking to add definition and fullness in their upper arms will qualify to be bicep implant patient. Our FDA-approved implants have helped countless men get the arms of their dreams after exercise was unsuccessful.

What to Expect

The first step of the bicep implant process is the consultation appointment. The medical professional will discuss the procedure and examine your arms during this appointment. He or she will also review your medical records to ensure you are eligible to undergo the augmentation surgery. If you wish to proceed after the consultation appointment, then you will return in a few days to undergo the procedure.

The bicep implant procedure will begin with application of the proper antibiotics and anesthesia. The surgeon will then create a small opening in your underarm. The surgeon will then insert the silicone implant inserted through the opening and place in a specific spot in the bicep muscle fascia. Placing the implant inside the muscle prevents it from moving or rotating. Once the implant is in the correct location, the opening will be sealed to complete the surgery.

The Recovery Process

After the procedure is complete, you will be given a postoperative garment and analgesic medication. The majority of patients can return to work in one week, and we advise our patients to avoid strenuous activity for four to six weeks.
